What is server virtualization
Server virtuazlization is a techonology that allows you to create multiple virtual instances of servers on physical servers, whether they are installed at the customer's “on prem” datacenters or at a “cloud” datacenter.
How does it work?
Server virtualization divides a physical server into multiple unique and isolated virtual servers by means of a software application.
Benefits
Reduced hardware costs
Faster server provisioning and deployment
Rapid backup and reduced recovery times
Increased productivity
Increased hardware energy efficiency
Comprehensive virtualization
Full virtualization monitors physical server resources and keeps each virtual server separate so that it operates independently of other virtual servers.
Paravirtualization
Unlike full virtualization, virtual paravirtualization involves the entire network, providing a performance advantage and access to broader resources.
Operating system virtualization
Unlike the other two, operating system-level virtualization does not use a hypervisor, but is included in the operating system of the physical server.
